Since their inception in 2017 mina has become a key event in Lisbon’s electronic music landscape.  Driven by a desire to elevate artists in the local scene, mina's musical journey started with techno, and quickly hybridised to encompass a wide array of rave music and genres that reflect the city’s diversity. mina fosters a spirit of global cultural exchange through collaborations with Mamba Negra (São Paulo), Seafood (Chengdu), Maricas (Barcelona), Room 4 Resistance (Berlin), ANTIMASS (Kampala) and more.
 

mina have been invited to showcase their work at prominent festivals and clubs, including Berlin Atonal, Sonar, Primavera, Bassiani, WHOLE Festival and Boiler Room, solidifying their presence in the international electronic music scene while keeping tight connections to their DIY queer raver spirit.

The resident artists of mina (BLEID, marum, Phoebe, and Violet) together with a dedicated team and community, create a safe(r) space for marginalised bodies, fuelled by LGBTQIA+ and feminist values. mina brings together ravers and DJs for sonic, sexual, gender and collective liberation. Their parties invite intimate experimentation, providing tools and information for doing so safely and with agency. More than a space for hedonism, mina operates as a collective with various clusters of action - community radio, record labels, artistic platforms and workshops.
 

In 2021, mina founded Planeta Manas, a venue with a robust inclusive mission: serving as both a permanent home for mina and a cultural space for the local community. mina's growth and evolution continues, enabling the organisation of ambitious local and international events in collaboration with collectives, DJs, musicians, and artists exploring the realm of club culture. This includes a host of intentional events spearheaded by the mina residents such as feminist D&B party Angel, bastion of sapphic bass DESCE, psychedelic rave-dream ins3kt Ræve, ambient sleepover seance infinity rug, tasteful techno gathering 69 Headstorms, and the house/disco swirl of body positivity CURVS.
